Still moving forward, one step at a time. The final battle isn't unprecedented in complexity or anything, but it is one of the largest I've put out, so it's taking a while. I'm using this extra time to catch up on all the stuff I was putting off while focusing so much on this... >_>
Hello, I don't know if anyone has already posted about this or not, but I'll ask nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteIt's about version 0.73.4. In Altina's Request on map 872:Forgotten Glade in the Forests Reward event (closest to the map entrance) on pages 2 and 3 I noticed a strange thing. There, the Elven Ideals switch toggles between two choices (different influence costs). And in one of them, the Altina Rewards variable increases by 1 upon confirmation, but in the other one it doesn't.
So the question is: is this a bug or is it an intended double penalty for choosing Elven Ideals, since the penalty for including Elven Ideals is given in the Riala event?
In addition, when trying to agree without enough influence in one case, Altina Rewards is given in one case, but in another case (Grynyth Graduated == ON) it is not. Is this also the way it's designed or is it a bug?
And also on map 690:A Rocky Path (also in CHAPTER FIVE) in the event at 52:63. I think the 7 and 8 dialogs are mixed up, because 7 is a response to 8, and the next is a commentary on the response. Can you check?
DeleteHmm, it's been a long time since I worked on this, but I don't think there's any logical reason that Altina Rewards shouldn't be implemented. Probably just an omission, so thanks for catching it!

This should be intentional. Without Grynyth, the ambassador storms off in a huff, so Altina Rewards is incremented to mark that he's gone. In the latter case, you get another chance to get the real reward.

Thank you for identifying the event precisely. If you mean the 7th and 8th dialogue boxes... no, that looks correct to me. Carina expresses a feeling, Simon asks the others about it, and they confirm.
Hello again. Thanks for the clarification, it can be difficult to understand the context when translating from a basically different language. I noticed another unusual thing. It's not something critical, but I feel obliged to write about it.
DeleteIn CHAPTER FIVE, map 875:Janine's Retreat 2F, event 20:8. The first and second pages have an identical part showing images. In the other events, after the image is shown, there is a line: "Wait: 60 fame(s)". Here on the first page it is absent in two places, although on the second page it is present.
While it's not critical, I can't think of any reason for these to be inconsistent, so it's likely just an omission.
