Postgame Progress

Hello, everyone! I have been posting weekly updates on Patreon and SubscribeStar, but I thought I would jump in so those following the blog get a word from me as well.

The game builds at the beginning of the year were really rough on me, then I did the Kickstarter as a break and it ended up draining me even more. I have now taken a little time off (supporters got some fun comics and images) and I am back into work! I've already finished some chunks of the postgame (like the sex scenes) and made real progress on others.

So the plan is to have a mammoth of an update, but not right away. It will include the full postgame, which is me going all out trying to make a rewarding finale, as well as new battle busts, new scene art, a large number of fixed bugs, some new features and QoL additions, and more!

We are getting very close to the true conclusion of the game, which I still predict will be this year, but we're not quite there yet. You will hear from me here as we arrive!

  1. Hi - just wanted to ask this for a while.

You mentioned that after the game is finished, with post game and all being done, you will still work on it (TLS) in terms of scene cg additions, improvements etc.

Will that post-game completion work, maybe, include also stuff like new small/side quests being added (say, like, in Act 4 overworld that you can do or in those main quest scenarios like Ardoheim Succession). New scene additions to show (expand) some events in more detail. Or maybe more reworks of places like Stinford?

Was thinking about this recently with tls being close to being 1.0 version.

    1. While I reserve the right to add to the game, I don't plan to add substantial content that would alter the overall balance. My intent is to focus on refining what's already present: text polishing definitely, art polishing likely, scene expansions possibly, map reworks potentially (Stineford was a ton of work), brand new inclusions not likely.

    2. I see, thanks for the answer. Best of luck with the rest of the development and beyond.

TLS is one of the best rpg-maker games of there in general, let alone from the western developer.

  2. Nice to hear you had some vacations ^^
I always remember you working, so it was well and long deserved XDXDXD

Instead of a mammoth, I prefer to think it's gonna be a dragon of an update, much more cooler XDXDXD
See you... well as soon as you can ^^

  3. About to finish my first playthrough, and I'm honestly flabbergasted and inspired by what you've accomplished with this game. This is one of the best RPGs ever made. I count myself lucky I stumbled across it.

Thank you for all the work you've done on TLS.

  4. Hi Sierra, Steam player with version 79.3 here. I'm doing a replay (once again, this game has me by the balls, lol) and there's a bug during the Battle of Yhilin at the beginning of chapter 3: I can't choose team for Lady Entila's (Enchila's?) warehouse, I'm locked with a team of Simon, Aka, Yarra and Qum. They have those symbols with slashed red circle, the one that says you can't remove them from active party. Not sure if this is a new bug, and the warehouse is still doable, just figured I'd share.

    1. Yes, this is an error introduced in version 0.79.x. Should hopefully be fixed for the next build!

  5. Also thank you for all your hard work, obviously. This game made me revisit the magic of being completely enthralled by video games I thought I lost long ago. I will definitely be bawling when the final update hits (in the cry because it's over, but happy that it happened kind of way)
