TLS 0.79.3 + Last Call

Well, I didn't want to do this, but the 0.79.2 version has a number of errors. >_< Not catastrophic, but not the condition I want to leave the game in while I work on the next major content. So here is yet another build.

*Requires RPG Maker VX Ace RTP to be installed. If you don't know what that means, use the RTP link.

The plan is for the next build to be the big postgame update, which is the last major chunk. Lots of work, but lots of things everyone will enjoy. ^-^

  1. Playing on the .2 update so I'm not sure if it's been fixed or if it is solely for me but I have a bug report.

    Hidden Stronghold in the Battle of Yhilin, just before teleportation : When asked to select the party members, everyone was locked in place, I couldn’t change them.
    So I had to go through with the default Aka, Yarra and Qum default party.
    Normally the formation lock should only happen after teleportation, right ?

    1. Unfortunately this is a new error introduced while trying to change something else. I will have it fixed next build, but for now they'll be unlocked after the section.

  2. After updating to 0.79.3 the black background on screen sides sometimes turns white. Double tapping f5 solves it, but i was startled a few times

    1. Sorry I missed this comment earlier. I haven't heard this report before - if I understand you correctly, what's changing color is the letterboxing effect, which is outside the main game, so I'm a bit puzzled as to what would cause it.

  3. No idea if it is something that can be done, but if it is possible could we get some sort of option for toning down/turning off the full screen colored flash effects that accompany a lot of the larger scale magic that gets used throughout the game?

    It's a bit much on the eyes sometimes, especially in that one bit of the Final Battle where it's flashing red the whole time.

    Just finished the Final Battle for the first time though and that was a truly glorious thing, every teeny tiny choice coming back to help tip the scales...567 hours and counting across quite a few playthroughs over the years VERY well spent!

    1. I hear where you're saying, but I don't know of any method to achieve that feature, so someone would need to code it from scratch.

  4. Hello. I may have discovered a bug:
    on map 350 Event(27,18), logically there should be no change in the variable on the second page. As in (29,18).

    1. Thank you for the detail, but it's missing a key one: the map name. You can't sort the project's maps by ID, so I have no idea which one 350 is.

    3. Got it, thanks! You're correct, the variable change was mistakenly inherited from the previous page. With the XY coordinates, it was easy to find and fix. ^-^

    4. I found another suspicious thing: on the map “347:Zirantia Plaza” in event (31:2) page 1, after the first sentence, there is a requirement to stop, which, in my opinion, should not be there. On other exits from the market, identical lines are logically used in chapter 5, but here (even before determining the switch used) it seems somehow wrong.

    5. You mean the additional dialogue in conditional branches, right? Yeah, that looks like it was accidentally left while I was updating all the events and shouldn't be there.

      I'm not sure why you're going through the files in such detail, but I don't mind; I'd like the game to be as polished as possible!

    6. I am, albeit slowly, localizing the game into Russian, so I may notice some structural oddities in the process. And thank you for this wonderful game. I, as well as our whole community express my sincere gratitude for your fruitful labor. And I wish you, even if not to achieve, but at least to come close to the ideal. Good luck and good work.
