DeleteWow, I was not expecting Lilith to join the Harem and I certainly didn't expect a sex scene with a swarm of bees. I assume things will be fine in the end, but yikes it doesn't seem like there are any good reasons to justify taking her into such confidence. We put all that effort into our base's magical defences and then just invite chaos inside for an orgy.
ReplyDeleteI laugh until I got a stomach cramp when Lilith change her relationship window into Ivala. Truly chaotic. I love it. Would love to see Trin tries to make copies of Lilith too. That might be interesting.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I considered doing a Trin/Lilith scene. If Trin started making copies of Lilith, they would begin corrupting immediately. The first one would have purple hair, the second would have an upside-down head, and they'd just get weirder from there.

I just want to express my disappointment, I thought Lilith will vomit a female version of Mestan for the harem who would be baffled to be alive again in a female body with his shard stolen by Xerxes... Lilith is too freaky for me to seriously consider her part of the harem.

- I choose to hide the truth...... After seeing the two other options. Strange to hide the truth after so long prioritizing it.... But you just gotta remember that our world domination began with a scheme XD And don't worry Altina, you may feel burdened, but you'd prefer this to the 2 other outcomes, believe me. Also it's true that Orilise is kinder that she let on ^^ Such a tsundere ^^

- During the conversation with Riala I had a revelation : although she is often overshadowed by the others mages, Altina main characteristic is her kindness. It's amost worth it to change gher nickname to Elfy Kind instead of Elfy Girl (so generic XDXDXD)
- Janine Quest was nice. I understand her need to find a justification to her hobby after working so long, but I agree with Simon. The threath is now more metaphysical and high-end magical than political (for once XDXDXD), so you can follow your heart desires ^^
- So Ralke did get a portrait !!! And you gave a good reason for not painting the Human King ^^ Ginasta though.... *snorts and collapse*
- Hehehe, for Simon portrait, we all knew there would be an alternate version XDXDXD So predictable Hahahaha
- Qum's drawing was so cute ^^ As always. But I agree that parents could cause problems later. Such a shame, it's not like our innocent teacher would traumatize them.
- A bit sad to not see more of Xestris and Esthera, but I understand. They prefer to stay alone. Hope that will change and that they will become closer to everyone, even after the epilogue.
- It's nice to see her portraits in hers, Sarai and Wynn houses ^^ A shame we can't interact with the later 2.
- Good job for putting portraits into the Tower, I was stuck choosing XDXDXD I could put nearly everyone I wanted. Also I was wondering if we can add more in Yarra room ? The end wall is free from any decorations.

- Seriously, who would like to put No Face Meanie, Incubus Dumbass, F*ckie, Grynyth, Cursed One, Promised Death (Soon TM), Sore Loser and B*tch Face (or Tanurak, Incubus Superking, Estaven, The Mother, Chosen, Antarion, Kaskia and Melymyn for their 'official' names) in their decoration ? We're not masochistic, thank you very much XDXDXD
- I saw that there was no portrait in the garden, and that made me think : Can't we put a sprite of our Ikea succubus near the training grounds dedicated exclusively to the garden ? (walls, floor, flowers, etc) I remember that it breaks the game since it considered as being 'outside' of the base. In that case, why not treat it as another map ? Potentially less game breaking or am I wrong (again) ?
- Random thought, what effect does engraved magic circles have ? Longer duration without maintenance ? Increased effects ? Mana drain less important ?
- Music is still the best ^^ Wonder how you find them so easily.
- Nice job on the fights, they were very difficult. Died a dozen times. Been a while, can't say I missed that part ^^

- Her Abode is beautiful. Kinda lack common sense, but who need that nowadays ? It have some great style, I quite like it.
- Her hobby of collecting endangered things reminds me of the webtoon Loving Reaper. In this sad but wholesome story, Death comes to guide the souls of animals who died because of human neglect and/or malice. In one chapter, Death say this : "Everything that has ever died becomes part of my realm. Here you are never truly lost or forgotten." I like this vision of Death, calm and loving instead of the terror inducing view the Western culture have developped. The reincarnation of Samsara with the karma you developped during your lifetime imagined by the Chinese is great too. And let's not forget the japanese Truck-kun ^^

And now to wait for another update..... Strangely the closer we approach 'the end', the longer they seems to take, regardless of the size of the content and bugtesting. Oh well, that's what makes it fun too ^^

The problem with choosing the staff portrait is optional staff. Kia and many others are missable, so could potentially lock the portrait off. I felt this was a reasonable compromise of missable and unmissable staff.
The portraits system was a huge headache, so I'm afraid it's not likely to get many changes or additions.
I watched the first season of Vox Machina but haven't had time to get to the second yet.
I'm doing my best to finish the updates as I can. I increased my output by 50% from 2021 to 2022! But the updates are increasingly complicated and I can only do so much.
Oh I understand completely aboout the updates, it's just that my anticipation just grow stronger every time XDXDXD

I know you have a short story in the same Universe that takes place before the events of the game, but it'd be really cool to see a full series. I think a lot of us would enjoy more background on the harem members or other characters that we see in-game.
Or if that'd be too redundant with the story-driven game, maybe some longer stories on different events that take place during the time-skips that happen at certain points in the game. Maybe even told from the PoV of the different harem members.
Also, your game is one of the best story-driven games I've played EVER! Thank you for all your hard work!
I don't have any particular plans for written prequels or interquels, but I do have specific ideas for some post-game stories I'll write. They'll range from catching up with specific characters or regions to vignettes about the main cast and their life after TLS.

Im going to be honest when i saw Trins quest i laughed so much, i didnt realize i would like Lilith this much, and what she said about Mestan was just Beautiful thank you. Also after replaying the third war i cant help but think Hester is, petty, revealing Simons identity when he did more than her plans did to defeat the Arsehole especially when she was hiding a worse secret, i can only hope she wasnt by not revealing everything. Also I know this wont happen but im just going to imagine Donovan does something so stupid he and his father get deposed after Tyna officially becomes Queen. Also im interested in how the staff of true necromancy work can it bring back people who are less dead than the 3 people with mourning paintings, im trying really hard not to spoil. Im wondering if it could bring someone like Geoff back mainly so that Antarion could be screwed over for what he did. Seriously though thank you for this game and if you need words of encouragement remember. A lot of people probally made an account so they could say how much they love you

Really bad softlock in the erosian war right after the demons arive at the crossroads and you go the Sylvan Grove Nalili doesn't heal when the party changes causing an automatic game over. Last chance before that to heal her is quite some time before.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid your timing is unfortunate (was too deep into putting together the new patch when I saw your comment). We're talking about the Erosian War, right? Here's the issue: I just checked the event and Nalili gets healed to full for this very reason. So I don't have a plausible explanation for what happened to you... do you have saves from before, by chance? Would you share them with players on the forum or Discord so they can take a look?

The patch went out without fanfare, so it makes sense it didn't get as much attention. It would have been fine to comment there, but here doesn't hurt so long as I'm getting my notifications.
DeleteWe won't be going to Seothysis, sorry. I think it's good to have some corners of the world that aren't fully explored and there isn't sufficient plot reason to visit. Likewise with some parts of Aram.
