There's some good news implicit in those links: I had previous believed that it would be completely impossible to host OEA on itch.io. After looking at some documentation and emailing their support, it turned out not to be an obstacle after all! As always, I try to provide alternates to support player choice.
Bad news: I wasn't able to jump through all the hoops for Nutaku and DLsite distribution this week. Nutaku needs multiple weeks to test compliance, apparently, and DLsite always has its own weirdness going on. Thanks to those who helped me not burn so much time on the censorship necessary for the Japanese version.
I now also have an official Patreon link, finally. For those who have been long-time patrons, all you need to do to receive a free copy is to message me. ^-^ Anyone who prefers to get the commercial versions, please leave reviews if possible!
So... while there are some lingering details and I may need to take some time for comments/bugs/etc, this mostly closes the book on this game. Another completed 1.0.0 in the bag!
So a few things I wanna say.
ReplyDelete- I finally know who is the Girl from the teaser XD I really went through memories to try to find who it was but it didn't work since she wasn't in the game LOL In any case it is a nice addition, along with that 'flashback' mechanic. Also the previous versions gave me the impression that they were best friends or that they had a romantic relationship but hadn't had the time to progress to that level. Nice to know that they shared fond memories. Although that makes it even sadder that he was forced to put her out of her misery. Is there a chance we will learn her name someday?
- Could this 'flashback' mechanic be expended? So far we have Wilhelm and Frieda. Would be nice to see Hood and Fenris first meeting, or on a somber note, Ulfina and Hood tragic past.
- A bit of a discrepancy about the guard quest in my opinion. We already beat all the Red Arena, and the dude is saying "If I can't beat a strumpet like you, I have no chance". So first, rude, and I'm already the Champion so you already have no chance XDXDXD
- The figure in white appeared in front of Ingrid house when I started a new game, and in front of Hoodton Inn when I took the ending save. This confirms that it hadn't appeared before and that I' m not blind ^^
- Finally, the game close itself sometimes, mostly when I change map. Thought that you might want to be informed.
- Hahahahahahahahaha, free Heartbranches, lol. Story users sure have it nice XD
Delete- Ah yes, I wanted to ask that. Shouldn't the Quest 'Make Ingrid sluttier' be into the failed section? We gave up on it after all.
The Quest 'Become a Girl' was nice. I was half expecting the Witch to have left by the time I came back XD. Nice to see that she tried to change her nature this early ^^
DeleteInformation on Wilhelm's Girl is intentionally vague. If I ever return to the OEA setting, maybe Wilhelm's past will be further explored and you'll get to learn her name.
DeleteFlashbacks are a known phenomenon in this setting, but I don't want to overuse it.
I admit, I didn't consider that someone might do the guard quest after Ingrid had finished the entire arena! Probably no one will ever trigger it, but I've added a little easter egg in this circumstance, just for you.
"Make Ingrid Sluttier" is in the intended section.

DeleteNoticed a glitch. I was replaying, and got to Yarra's route early on. There's these new gravestone marker things that appear, and you can just walk right through them. No idea what that's about.

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what bug you're reporting here. You say none of your saves work, but talk about fighting an enemy - what exactly is happening?
DeleteIn any case, no one else has reported anything similar and there should be a hard level cap of 40. I'll need more information to try to take any action on this.
my saves are from 0.7 when the game released u leave the finale rest area and the telaport device has been removed and try to fight an enamy any enamy and the game gives an error and u have to restart the save
ReplyDeletePlease upload your save to the forum or Discord so that other players can take a look, because this is difficult to explain. Versions 0.7.0 and 1.0.0 are virtually identical and the teleport item was not changed or removed.
