TLS 0.47.0
- Big Stineford update!
- Two new scenes, including the longest in the game by a fair margin.
- The first final party member sidequest is introduced, though it can't be finished yet.
TLS 0.47.1
- Bugfixing, typos, and minor improvements.
- The self-destruct attack now works, thanks to Decanter.
- The Ledger is now updated to the new version.
- Sprite animations now play when you access the bed.
Time for the Stineford update! This isn't the longest update in TLS history, or the most complex, or the most combat-intensive... but it has a decent amount of everything. Overall I'm quite pleased with this one, as I think it's a balanced update that will hopefully give everyone something to have fun with for a little while.
This update also contains the longest sex scene in the game... several times longer than the previous record. It's as long as a short story, long enough that it might be a bad idea. =P Anyway, this one is bigger than average but will probably go public in a week.
- The first final party member sidequest is introduced
ReplyDeleteOOO, suspense growing
Ah, it's not that big a deal. I just want every single character to get a highlight in the last chapter.
DeleteBug: It is possible to reenter Devil's Pass after clearing it triggering the same dialogue, but as there is no longer a king to kill it is impossible to leave requiring reloading a previous save.

Delete"final party member sidequest"
ReplyDeleteDoes this mean "sidequest to get the final party member"? I think there was one empty slot in the harem/party list.
Or "personal endgame sidequest for one of current party members"? I think you've mentioned such quests in your future plans.
It's the latter. Given that we're returning to Stineford, you might be able to guess which party member, and the nature of her quest.
Delete2 possibilities, Carina dealing with the prostitution ring and the High Priestess, or Ginasta dealing with her old Merck band, and possibly the prostitution ring.
DeleteI had heard that is related to a broom...
DeleteOK, OK, spoiler alert: it's Orcent, who's still wracked with guilt over killing the horse at the farm outside Stineford, and enlists Wynn's help to resurrect it. Undead equine adventures ensue.
DeleteYou're a genius!
DeleteIf I may suggest something this final chapter needs, this is something I think you already got in the works because.....reasons but: How about Simon gets an Attack that uses, and hear me out here.....Tentacles!!! :D
ReplyDeleteHaha, the canon explanation is that he doesn't have enough skill with magic to use his tentacles in combat. Part of it is that such a skill would likely be an AoE attack, and I don't want Simon to be able to do so much that some party members become useless.
DeleteThat reminds me of a similar question I've had for a while: is Simon's shard canonically responsible for his ability to gain experience from combat? I.e., if he didn't gain the shard at the beginning, would he only get negligible experience from combat on account of being an old veteran already? Similarly, how much is the combat potential of the other party members enhanced by being in Simon's harem?
DeleteYou're not wrong to note how Simon gained experience, and the shard is related to this, but the canon explanation is yet to come. Party members are getting a boost from Simon (especially succubi) but it's not a massive one compared to their natural growth.
DeleteAre there pets in the world of TLS? And in that note, what is the name of the world? Is it round or flat?
ReplyDeleteI can answer that one. Someone owns a dog, specifically a puppy that you can interact with in Stenai. Not sure if its a common thing but at least one pet is in the game.
DeletePets exist, as noted. Nobles have more of them than peasants, given the difficulty of their lives. I actually figured that there would be fewer practical pets like sheepdogs in a setting like this, given that monsters are so dangerous.
DeleteThe world is named Sult, and it's a round planet with a only slightly different tilt than ours. It has different metaphysics and magic exists, but otherwise it's not a radically magical setting.
Sult, Pron, Sx... How the hell are there virgin peoples left in this world!!! No wonder Ginasta can't get rid of Incubus shards.
DeleteAlso, if it is a planet, is it like our Solar System with other planets? Or is Sult all alone? Are there aliens? Ooohhh, they are the aliens!!! What color is the sun?
DeleteSorry to bother you.
Lore questions don't bother me. ^-^ The solar system isn't particularly remarkable, with Sult in the habitable zone and a couple of rocky and gaseous bodies orbiting the same star. It's a yellow sun, otherwise the whole game would need to be retinted. =P
DeleteHey Sierra Lee. I'm currently playing through the game again, and I came across something weird:
ReplyDeleteI didn't buy Premium Steel before the first trip into Eustrin, so Varia's request for dwarvern steel wasn't active. After entering Chapter 4, I bought Premium Steel, discussed her wants, want to Eustrin... but can't find Dwarvern Steel anywhere. I remember in my previous game I bought it at the ore merchant, but there's no conversation triggered there for the steel.
Am I now permanently locked out of producing her custom weapons?
Are you talking with the correct dwarf? There is an ore store in the lower floor that would have Varia inquire about the steel, but he would say no reputable store sells steel for weapon-making.
DeleteThe dwarf that does sell you the steel is a gray-haired one in the business hall, which is a little room with 3 tables and a bunch of dwarf merchants. If you can't find him there or he won't sell you the steel then it should be a bug.
Ah, thanks. He does spawn, but the linked conversation from the ore merchant doesn't fire, so you don't know to go find him.
DeleteNot sure if this is a possible bug or not, but Altina is missing from Janine's Manor after the Ardford Summit. Was this intentional? She is there pre summit.
