Guys, it's finally here! After a year of work behind the scenes, I'm launching the illustrated version of The Last Sovereign! Every single scene accessible in Chapter 1 of the game has at least one illustration.

To answer some common questions:
- You can also access scenes via the Reflect menu.
- You'll be able to disable art if you want via the System menu.
- The W key hides the text box.
This update was more involved than you might think. I was only able to make everything work properly thanks to scripting assistance from Lamsey and Decanter. Future updates will be normal chunks of gameplay plus whatever new art is finished.

The scenes featuring Chosen (like Tal x Plant) are drawn in a different style. I wanted to separate them in the list so that people wouldn't think that those early scenes were included in the 28.

ReplyDeleteI also have a question. I spoke to Luanell to get her to go to the Fancy shop during the succesion crisis. I forgot to go speak to her there before i ended the section, but she seems to still be there if you go during the following freeroam. Is this intended? Also on a similar note, Mestan is also still in the New Givini teahouse if you dont speak to him during that section.

Generally speaking, these quests had poor handling for if players only partially completed them. You've found two more bugs, so thanks!

To add on this question, is it just the scenes who are illustrated on this update, or did you also add important moments like Yarra first apparition (aka SFW Cgs) ?
DeleteThere will be a few SFW CGs over the course of the game, but not very many. This game will already have hundreds of pieces of artwork.

ReplyDeletehi sierra lee, big fan of the game just wondering if you would ever let people know what major choices are "canon" when the game is finished,like as in the choices you count as "canon", like how the synod went, who won the ardford succession etc.
ReplyDeleteI don't want to invalidate any path as non-canon. However, I'll be writing some stories following the conclusion of TLS that will be set in a certain sort of canon.
