I'm not just punning here, it's an actual event. ^-^ It won't be here on the blog, due to how the platform can be about adult images, but if you follow Annikath or myself on Twitter, you'll be getting a series of pictures showing TLS characters having, shall we say, a jolly time.

TLS 0.64.0 Released!

- New harem quest beginning in Tak'Kan.

- New harem quest beginning in the Renthnor Wilds.

- New harem quest beginning in Zirantia.

- It's still not time for the big portrait update, but one of them is in the game: the portrait of Wendis as seen in the beginning of the game.

- In addition to the techniques learned as part of quests, there is a new synergy technique available in the base courtyard.

- Fheliel and Neranda now appear in the Hall of Mortality if they have joined the harem.

- Zelica's tree (from last update) now has custom tiles thanks to Lamsey.

- One new plot scene, three new affection scenes.

- Three new illustrated scenes: Nalili Pampering, Neranda Breeding, Orilise/Lynine Threesome.

- In addition to those illustrated scenes, there's a new SFW scene: Vhala in combat during the Third Arclentian War.

This is a big one with three complete harem quests and a whole lot of assorted content! I hope it will be out publicly in a week, but it might take two if it takes more work to polish. I was running myself pretty ragged finishing some of the last pieces.

Once Ever After final release!

There's some good news implicit in those links: I had previous believed that it would be completely impossible to host OEA on itch.io. After looking at some documentation and emailing their support, it turned out not to be an obstacle after all! As always, I try to provide alternates to support player choice.

Bad news: I wasn't able to jump through all the hoops for Nutaku and DLsite distribution this week. Nutaku needs multiple weeks to test compliance, apparently, and DLsite always has its own weirdness going on. Thanks to those who helped me not burn so much time on the censorship necessary for the Japanese version.

I now also have an official Patreon link, finally. For those who have been long-time patrons, all you need to do to receive a free copy is to message me. ^-^ Anyone who prefers to get the commercial versions, please leave reviews if possible!

So... while there are some lingering details and I may need to take some time for comments/bugs/etc, this mostly closes the book on this game. Another completed 1.0.0 in the bag!

OEA 0.7.0 on Steam

This is my last planned content update for this game, so my intent is for it to leave Early Access and be finished (for good) once I've confirmed there are no standing issues. That is also the time that the finished game will appear in other stores, which will be announced here.

OEA 0.7.0 on Patreon

There is a new build available to supporters on Patreon and SubscribeStar. I'll put the release notes below, but I'm mainly posting about it so that it's clear the project is still undergoing work.

OEA 0.7.0

- A brand new scene drawn by Crescentia! It is automatically unlocked for anyone who has reached the gallery, but naturally occurs in the early game during the first visit to Wilhelm's Tale.

- In addition, a new variant scene previously not accessible has been added.

- A new quest has been added to Hoodton. This one is available over the entire game, as it unlocks the above scene.

- Another quest has been added, but only to very early Hoodton. This offers small advantages but is mostly there for flavor and additional content.

- New option in menu: fast combat animations.

- Further boosts to the story mode items.

- Additional bonus added for story mode users in Hoodton.

- More enemies respawn in the ice palace, in case players feel they need to level while inside.

- Minor bugfixes and cosmetic improvements.

As you can see, this is more of a content update than the previous bugfixing and balance releases. In addition to the new quests, there's brand new scene art from Crescentia (as well as some previously finished but unreleased art). This is planned to be my last content update for OEA, barring brand new ideas for sidequests. So once everything is polished up, the game will leave Early Access and that will be another completed game on the books!

Fancy new version! See previous posts/notes for the details. Now that the Philon quest and some other details are wrapped, we can move on to more harem quests, the painting feature, and the final foundation blocks for the ending.

TLS 0.63.0 Released!

 - Completion of the Philon quest line.

 - New harem quest: talk to Carina in Stineford.

 - The NPC and harem icons in the Reflect menu are no longer text placeholders, but have been replaced with images. This has been on my list for a long time and it took until now to get to it.

 - Completing content this section will give you new resources to make more decisions.

 - With the right resources, you can create a piece of ultimate custom equipment for Carina.

 - Two new sex scenes, plus an affection scene variation that was already in the game but has been locked for a long time.

 - Three new illustrated scenes: Ivala Flying, Mithyn Deepthroat, Lynine/Orilise Threesome

I think this is a pretty solid update on its own merits, but I'm especially glad to have finished up the Philon quest line so it isn't left on a black screen. There's also another complete harem quest and some assorted decisions/rewards. Fewer new illustrated scenes than usual, as much of Annikath's time has been spent working on the upcoming portrait feature.

Announcing an Upcoming Feature

Hello, everyone! In the latter half of this year I've struggled with some issues, personal and professional, so I'm sorry that I haven't made the TLS progress I wanted. Work does continue, however! I thought I would share one of the new features that has been in the works for some time.

The above is in in-world portrait: it will be painted by a character and be an object you can acquire in-game and hang in your base. Customization options will increase and you'll be able to hang all your favorite portraits around your headquarters.

Now, I can't share the majority of the paintings for reasons that should be obvious (do you think Yarra was wearing clothes while posing for her portrait? ridiculous!). However, I did want to share another of them, just to show that we've aimed for some real variety:

In addition to letting all players see what's coming, I wanted to ask for any thoughts on potential ideas for more portraits. The emphasis is on characterization, as in the above examples. So of course Megail and Iris have a portrait together, Aka has poses with characters like Hilstara and Sabitha, and so on. Fifteen portraits are complete, plus multiple variants and every standard bust image in portrait form. But feel free to ask for anything that you think would enhance the game and it could be added if it isn't already on the list!

As mentioned last post, this isn't a full content update, but it finally takes care of some long-standing bugs. With a game as large and complex as TLS, sometimes maintenance can be delayed in favor of new content, but I do my best to keep a polished experience. With this, no players will be tripped up by some of these frustrating bugs.

There's also a bunch of new art for everyone, nearly finishing the current phase of the art plans. I'm juggling a lot right now, but the plan is to keep the TLS train moving forward!

TLS 0.62.0 Released!

 - Critical party swap bug fixed.
 - Multiple party dungeon bug fixed.
 - Seven new illustrated scenes: Altina Seated, Esthera Dominance, Iris Meeting, Ivala First Time, Megail Anal, Mithyn First Time, Robin Seated

This is an unusual one instead of a normal content update. There was a long-standing critical bug finally fixed, an edge case that only affected a few people, but ruined their saves. I had three choices:

A) Hold the fix until the next release.

B) Do an immediate patch.

C) Bundle the fix with a few other things.

I decided to go with Option C. Waiting to make the fixes public might have led even more people to run into the problem (and report it to me again) while an update with little fanfare might not convince people to upgrade. Since the serious glitch is not immediately obvious to those affected, this could potentially lead to lagging reports of the same bug.

My intent was for these "endgame" updates to be meatier, but between various personal and professional issues, they've been relatively light. I hope for that to change, but meanwhile I've felt like this is the best way to keep TLS moving forward.

TLS 0.61.0 Released!

- New complete harem quest, beginning in Megail's office in the base.

- Half a new Philon quest. You can fully explore some new maps and a new dungeon, just not complete the event.

- You can now visit new maps in the Renthnor Wilds. This means that the teleportation chamber is now 100% unlocked.

- New Simon/Orcent bar conversation.

- All maps in Rodak have been given new custom assets to make the nation more memorable.

- By user request, there is now an event in the orc quarters where you can change the equipment of orc party members.

- The Amulet of Alchemy, Twisted Charm, and Sexual Charm can now all be upgraded at the Enchantery (in Ghenalon).

- If you spared the lamias, one now appears in Gasm Falls.

- New details will appear in the base when a nation advances far enough. Expect more of these in the future.

- All variable timing sex scenes are now either blocked by Simon's condition or have special dialogue and grant a bonus point.

- Though on that note, the variable for Simon's recovery has increased from its temporary variable. Using a save from the previous build will have no ill effects, this is just the pacing I want for the final game (pending tweaks).

- If the player didn't finish Tanurak's optional challenge before the end of the war, the quest is now properly removed.

- There were previously 18 places where a character who had maxed relationship points could be temporarily reduced. While the chance of this having a negative impact was low, it was a possible edge case. Thanks to DukeLeto7's list, I've eliminated all of these.

- All erroneous Trin lines should be corrected, again thanks to DukeLeto7 for tracking them down.

- 6 new illustrated scenes: Carina Missionary, Hilstara 69, Sabitha Mammal Pile, Trin Titfuck, Uyae Blowjob, Wynn Halfling

- In addition to those, there are several variants of a new image to illustrate Simon and Orcent's bar crawl.

- And, believe it or not, assorted bugfixing and polishing not mentioned above.

Originally I had wanted to have a massive update following OEA, but personal issues have made that more difficult. I felt it was best for overall progress to put out an update now, finishing up everything I had done to this point. I didn't finish an enormous amount of content while focused on OEA, but I was working on the game. So this update is both some assorted content and a lot of backlogged complaints or requests I pushed through.

This one will likely go public in a week, though I can't guarantee that.

This one was a beast to get out, more than it should have been. But chaos aside, this one has a ton of different content I hope everyone will appreciate. There's more plot than a normal open world update, new harem members, lots of new scenes, and a new quest that should be fun for everyone who likes fiddly optimizing.

TLS update next week, sale now

I didn't anticipate having to do this, but the public version of the previous TLS update will not be coming out today. Got ambushed by a number of different things. There should be no obstacles to it going public next weekend.

Meanwhile, if you haven't noticed the JRPG sale on Steam, I have Ouroboros and Desecration of Wings on sale there! Ouroboros is always cheap on sales, and I put DoW at a higher discount than before, since it was selected for this special sale. Good time to grab either if you have been waiting.

- New open world segment, with an unusual number of updates.

- Two new characters can join the harem, bringing six new affection scenes with them.

- An old character's affection can be uncapped via a new scene, allowing them to be maxed.

- Shining Swords can finally be turned in for rewards.

- Various new opportunities around the world, making it possible to restore the "entity" even if items were previously missed.

- Thanks to the work of DukeLeto7, Decanter, and others, several obscure bugs have been eliminated.

- Annikath has made some improvements to several dozen past scenes (purely on her own time), so all of those have been updated.

I was worried about getting this update out, since it required me to create new content all over the world, but I'm glad I got through it before too terribly long! This one may need more polishing and added content than usual, because getting through it all was a beast for me. But I'm glad it should be wrapped up before Once Ever After releases (April 15!) so that it will be easier to keep TLS updates rolling later in the year.

Meanwhile, I figured since I'm posting, I should talk about the upcoming schedule. Some of my focus is on Once Ever After, trying to prepare for the big release later in the year. So much of the core game is finished, yet there are so many details to wrangle.

However, TLS is also progressing! Update 0.60.0 is fairly far along, and as always there will be weekly updates on Patreon. This one will definitely come out before the OEA release, soon enough that I wonder whether I'll finish another one after that. It will depend on various factors, but I intend to keep both moving forward throughout this year.

Alright, after much work, everyone can play the big climactic update! Be grateful to patrons, who helped give me data to ease many of the requirements. There's a lot of content in this one, so I hope you enjoy it. ^-^

TLS 0.59.0 Released!

 - New segment finishing the Incubus War.
 - Minor edits to the prison content.
 - New scenes, the number depending on how you count them.
 - Art exists for 14 new scenes, but to make my release window, it was deferred. Expect it to be added to the .1 or .2 update.

The Incubus War got away from me just a little bit, requiring three updates instead of two, but I hope that this one will be worth it. Every element of the plot got its due, long or short, and I feel like I wrapped up a lot of major plot threads in a way I hope everyone will find satisfying.

There is a substantial amount of calculation in the back of this one, plus there may be some slight rebalancing on the entire war, so this one might take more than a week. But please look forward to it!
