Version 0.17.0 Released

New update for patrons! Version history updated, you know what to do, etc.

Version 0.17.0
 - All events in Ardford are finished, as is the second chapter!
 - Three new plot sex scenes.
 - Various minor changes throughout.

The schedule over the coming period may be a little different. While this update includes all the game content that I wanted, it doesn't have the custom music or battlers I plan to include. I hope to add those in for an additional backer update. That means that the 0.17.2 public update might be a little later, though I still hope have it out on March 25 according to the usual schedule.

Regardless, I won't be able to start working on version 0.18.0 immediately due to this update's extended development time. I will say more about this and some other scheduling issues later, but for now I'm focusing on the game.

Meanwhile, if you want a preview of this update, check your forum of choice for some screenshots.

EDIT: Sorry, it won't be today. There's no problem with the new story content, but the custom music and battlers I added require more polishing to reach the level I try to set for myself. Once I'm satisfied that I haven't added any new problems with my improvements, everyone will get 0.17.2. I have some hope it won't be too long.

    1. If you're ever wondering about progress, just ask one of my patrons, since I give weekly updates on Patreon. I just prefer to keep the public blog as mostly key updates.

    3. Yup, we don't bite. Okay, I bite, but only if we've negotiated that part first, and I'm feeling into it. Otherwise, no biting. You can find a bunch of us on the wiki or I frequent the Futanari Palace thread for TLS. Basically, just ask on one of the boards Sierra posts on and you should be able to find someone willing to chat about it.

Just be aware: Wiki has a strict "no release patron build info" policy. So, we update it only after the public release to give you a chance to explore a bit and find stuff on your own first.

  2. By the way, How many chapter are there going to be oh Lord Sierra Lee?
Keep up your fabulous work, you have no idea how many times i have asked myself about the game "Oh God Whats next?" I can tell you this, if you ever were to spill some info about the story progress(which you wont, and i respect that) i could really die happy. Your work is really different i praise how you are able to make such a mysterious stories and plots, i mean it's really hard to guess your next move. And that really makes you a formidable and lovable player. Thx a lot!

    1. She has said before she dosent want to let on how many chapters there will be so as to not give away any of the plot.

    2. Yeah, I'm keeping quiet about the exact number of chapters. I'm glad the plot has kept you guessing in enjoyable ways, but I'm dropping enough hints that if I give too much structure, it will become predictable. =P

I think you'll enjoy the inter-chapter scene that comes at the very end of this update. It both hints how everything you've seen so far is connected and teases what's left to come.

  3. I have been wondering if we'll be acting on the global scale eventually. Our mere continent alone has many scary people in it that would serve entirely well for an entire game's worth of villains.

    1. Oh, the game is definitely going global. I'm a big fan of old RPGs where the plot felt comprehensive in scope. It's hard to do that with any realism, but I'm trying to use the simplifications that make the most sense while not taking away from the scale I'm going for.

    2. To follow up on Guile, will you eventually use a world map script/tileset? Just thinking it might be fun to have a magically powered airship prototype to someday visit the old areas again.

    3. You'll get to revisit old areas and you'll get airships, but those two won't be connected and they won't be on a world map. While I do like the retro overworld maps, they inevitably make a world that's unrealistically small.

Though TLS's world is obviously simplified, I'm going for more complexity than that. I'm actually hoping to have a world map made via proper cartography, even if I have to commission it eventually.

  4. really enjoy the game, too bad I cant make any donation for this game, just one question how to use cheat engine in this game?kinda lazy a bit lvling(repeat cycle)

    1. Thanks for playing! I'm afraid I don't use CC myself, so I can't really advise you regarding it. Just to be sure, though, are you aware that you can move your saves from version to version? No need to replay unless you want to!

    2. yes but i generaly forgive and erase save :( so i have to replay and it....

    3. Hey I'm strapped for time alot like you are Mohdammar, BUT I will say this is the first game in nearly two years (even out of my growing Kemco game folder) that has religiously had me playing it. I havent had this much fun with a jRPG since Final Fantasy 6 (Still 3 in my world.....), Doom and Destiny WAS my filler BUT TLS has completely killed all my games and taken their place.

Im not sure if its good or bad when I can say.. im here for the Articles(game play) :P

BUT anyway This file works with the majority of RPG Maker games. Just put it in cheat engine and select it. I got it off the CE website while ago. Just dont go ruining the games you play by becoming reliant on it, remember the best games are the ones that hook you long term and make you want to earn it!

Also can't wait for 17.2 to drop, sadly cant do the patreon route. BUT if the game goes up for sale When its all completed, or you make it free with a "Donate" option like some are, I will gladly do that.

    4. Ah, glad you enjoy the game so much!

Version 0.17.2 should be coming soon. I'm afraid there won't be a sold version of TLS, not since the game has been free its entire development. If you want to donate, you could join Patreon for one month and then quit. But if you don't like Patreon (or it doesn't like your payment options), I do also accept PayPal donations - email me for info if that's your preference.

    5. I can step in an add a bit here on CE. The actual values for all RPG Makers are stored in a formula, which is why CE doesn't seem to match tutorial videos or instructions, the formula for everything is: [Stat value] *2 +1. That works on everything including VX Ace games, I've found. Not sure if it carried over to MV, since MV is in a new programming language.

I will say that it's difficult to really make much of an impact by cheating your way through the first part. Your battles will be faster and you'll have better gear, but most of the game is balanced pretty well for whatever level you'd normally be when you encounter it. The exceptions, like "infested house", and the new areas in the update are supposed to be harder. You'll need to try different tactics rather than just level up for them. If you're getting creamed by a particular set of battles, it's usually because you have the wrong party members out for those battles.

    6. Barring the occasional all-animal area where lust doesn't work so good, I pretty much coast with Yarra and Qum. Give them one of the many items that let them store lust. Use Yarra's wide-spread lust skill to damage and confuse and/or stun everybody. And Qum's healing and lust-boosting kisses keeps Yarra topped up and everybody healed on whatever occasional sod manages to attack through the haze of lust magic.

If for some reason you DO run low on magic (I dunno, your third member is Altina spamming her wide-area attack spells, or Haze of Sex isn't working so you need Simon to do his wide area stun a bunch), Qum has that 1/battle mana/lust blast of healing/magic regen.

Maybe some folks would be annoyed the grind-y portions of the game aren't harder, but I'm just glad I can get through them and on to the talky bits without much thought.

  5. can u add mini game that can earn money or u already plan it

    1. Minigames may or may not be coming, and ways to earn money will continue to expand, but there won't ever be anything like a repeatable game that lets you grind money.

    1. Answers!

      1) The exact percentage is a secret. A large portion of the game is done, but there's still plenty more remaining.

      2) Though I always have a multitude of ideas, I'm not sure what kind of game I'll make next. You'll see at least one side project from me this year, though, and you can expect more new work from me at Hreinn Games.

      3) I hope to get CGs eventually, but it's difficult to find an artist who is professional, available, and in my price range.

  7. An little question about Qum. Will we discover the secret about her (if her hair color means something) in the near or in the far future? *Tries his best to be patient about the public release* :)

    1. Don't expect Qum's hair color to be a major plot point. She's not a special character so much as a "special" character, if you get my drift. Sorry to dash your Qum = Ivala theories. =P

(Public release is still getting closer, thank you for your patience!)

      Delete
    2. Woah, so there are theorist out there who theorize that Qum is Ivala by some sort?! I myself personally believe the goddess-ly character we saw in the intro sequence is Ivala.

About Qum, if her hair color wasn't really special in itself, how about her suspiciously astounding magic composition ability like that time in the cave pathway to Yhilin?

    3. I didn't expect an major plot point, just exactly what you say Azersol. =P
It doesn't even have to be something we can use in the game. I just want to know more about our lovely cumdumpster. :3

    4. Well, I can say you will definitely learn a little more about her in time. ^-^

  8. It does seem like Qum used to be somebody highly placed and important before she awakened to the zen sexual nirvana state she leads now. Of course, she could just be an idiot savant, and she was always like this.
