Official Statement on Collaborations

Over the years, I've received various offers of collaboration. Some have gone very well (such as Annikath), others have been basically selling services, and a few have been utterly bizarre. I have a fairly busy schedule, and it has occurred to me that perhaps some professionals might have been aware of this and not approached me for that reason.

So, as we get closer to the conclusion of TLS, I'd just like to publicly state that I am open to the right collaboration. Maybe nothing will come of this, but better to be clear than to leave things in ambiguity. If anyone has been waiting for me to finish my decade-long work, I'm approaching a clearer period in my long term plans.

If you fall into that category, feel free to contact me at:
sierra.lee.author@gmail.com

Now, not to be too delicate about this, I am not looking for random people to email me with ideas. The unfortunate truth is that ideas are cheap and the games industry in general doesn't value writing. But if someone with other skills values mine, then feel free to get in touch. ^-^

There are still months of intensive TLS work, of course, but after that I will transition to a new period in my career. While I do a lot of polishing and revision to TLS, I intend to turn the majority of my attention to completing several shorter games. I've already taken some steps on other side projects, which you'll hear about over time, but my schedule is far from full.

One day I hope to return to another very long game, a spiritual successor to TLS, but that will be after I've gotten TLS into finalized shape and hopefully refreshed my energy with other projects. More on that later!

  1. Well I think the best game possible is one where the protagonist is a platypus, our main weapon is a boom, and a simple quest to fond the missing horsies devolve in an epic fight for fishing and justice over the capitalist multiverse.

    Just saying.

  2. I would love to see a collab between TLS and Renryuu!

(Also if it's not really troublesome why not a little SFW VTuber game? Ofcourse there's people who likes VTuber and people who don't. But if you do a short "Holo indie" game it would be really fun to play.)

    1. I'm not sure what you mean in your second paragraph there: a game starring VTuber characters, I'm guessing? I'm not really familiar, sorry.

    2. i would second the renryuu ascension collab, both are awesome games with similar playstyles

  3. I wish your comment about writing in the games industry was false because Once Ever After is perhaps the best well written game I have played (including SFW). I started that up, as I'm sure most people do in NSFW games, ready to skip all of the dialogue, but found myself needing to see good things happen to the good guys and instead skipping all of the NSFW.
You would truly be an asset to any writing team and I hope you the best in this endeavor.

  4. Hi Sierra, it's been a while !!!
I'm leaving a comment for two reasons, first the classical 'When's the next update ?', second, I think I found a little texture missing on the left bed in Godess Trainer.

    1. Hmm, the bed is formed from events instead of tiles, so I hope not!

Next update sooner than I expected, but full optional dungeon later than expected. Adding a ton of features.

    2. Nice, with all the optimization from Rachnera, we'll soon be able to play Pac Man in the game !!!

    1. Given the extensive community walkthroughs and resources, I would suggest checking those.

  6. I'm back to this game after years and an hard drive busted.
I wish to tell you how much i'm enjoying this game: i love how deep the characters are, the intricacy of the various systems and how good the general writing is. Your story helped me through hard times.
I actually talked about TLS with my best friend and i'm streaming a new run to her (we actually want to hug half of the cast, and want to pinch the cheeks of the other half).
I also want to thank you because your work inspired me to grab a copy of rpgmaker and start working on my half-baked ideas.

Well done. I think any dev would be lucky to have you in their team.
