 - I made some tweaks to the Lustlord fight, trying to make it more challenging without just cranking his stats.

 - Further fixing and polishing.

Unfortunately, there were new bugs and minor balance tweaks being done right up to today. I would like to be able to put this out and then take a break, but I'm apprehensive that some of these last second fixes may have caused new problems. If we need a version 0.54.3, I'll try to put it out reasonably promptly.

I feel like I just... poured everything into this one. I wanted to get to this point, since it resolves the previous cliffhanger and brings closure to a number of major arcs, but I'm courting burnout. I intend to take some time to do some writing, hopefully finish up Once Ever After, and generally take a little time for myself. There will be weekly updates on Patreon, as always, but there should be some updates here as well.

I managed to get this update finished, but it took quite a bit out of me. There's nothing insanely complex in this part, but I might need to take two weeks to release the finished Gathering publicly. Tired.

 - Updating primarily to help those with the zero HP bug.

 - Minor bugfixing and polishing.

Time for the update! This one should be reasonably polished, but it needs to come with a warning: the balance for the entire Gathering is not finalized. Though I did my best, it's possible that after the next update, I or someone else will realize the game would be better with a tweak to this section. If you're highly concerned with game balance, I suggest keeping a save prior to this version.

That said, this one has quite a bit of different content I hope you will enjoy. ^-^ Though I want to continue working on Once Ever After, TLS 0.54.0 will be higher priority.

NOTE: I've updated to 0.53.3 to help out those who didn't keep a certain character alive through the boss battles last time.

Once Ever After Update + TLS News

Hey, everyone. It's been a stranger month than usual for me, but I didn't want to leave everyone only following the blog in the dark. So I'll be giving a quick taste of recent Patreon updates.

I've been working on Once Ever After for three years now, slowly fitting in progress while the artists I was commission moved it forward. Now, at long last, Crescentia has finished all the scenes planned for her (20+ scenes, 150+ images total), so last month I dedicated a block of time to trying to finish OEA. It isn't finished yet, but this new Steam update shows off some of my progress:

However, there are some lingering programming issues and a few of the minor artists have gone AWOL, so toward the end of July I wasn't able to keep myself busy with OEA work. So though I still intend to move OEA forward, I shifted to spending the majority of my time on TLS 0.53.0 again.

That is the current situation and plan. The next TLS update won't be out right away, but it's my primary focus and the two updates covering the Gathering should come out without excess delay between them. Meanwhile, please also look forward to Once Ever After!

 - Depending on your decisions, you may be able to unlock a new segment and final state for Eustrin.
 - Aka's personal quest can now be completed.
 - Hilstara has a complete personal quest.
 - The Tower mine has reopened, granting different saves different items. Both regions have been repopulated with a few new fights.
 - Two new scenes, three new affection scenes.
 - Two more scenes that are inaccessible without cheating. Working ahead.
 - If you're still locked out of Ardoheim in Chapter 5, you can now gain access via a payment in Headquarters 1F.
 - If you didn't receive the Crystal of Harmony, it can now be purchased in Ari-Yhilina.
 - If Fheliel's conversation was missed, you can find her in Ryoken.
 - Returning to Wynn's house after the recent transformation will unlock new dialogue (and a new scene).

This is one of those odd updates, because I know some players won't be able to access the major chunk of new content (Eustrin). However, it also includes some new side quests for everyone, plus a lot of little opportunities to unlock past content you might not have seen. Hopefully there will be something for everyone!

Some of the content in this update I promised literally years ago. So many blog posts ago, somebody asked "Will there be impregnation content?" and I said "Yes, but you'll have to wait a long time." Until now, apparently.

Guys, it's finally here! After a year of work behind the scenes, I'm launching the illustrated version of The Last Sovereign! Every single scene accessible in Chapter 1 of the game has at least one illustration.

To answer some common questions:
 - You can also access scenes via the Reflect menu.
 - You'll be able to disable art if you want via the System menu.
 - The W key hides the text box.

This update was more involved than you might think. I was only able to make everything work properly thanks to scripting assistance from Lamsey and Decanter. Future updates will be normal chunks of gameplay plus whatever new art is finished.

This is a big one. The whole world is updated more thoroughly than it's been since the start of Chapter 4, plus various additions and lots of new opportunities based on past decisions. I'm really tired right now. -_-

This one is going to spend two weeks on Patreon. Less for bug-fixing and more because I want to continue adding a little more content so the world really feels alive. But meanwhile, you can get a taste with all the screenshots and preview hints on forums, like LoK. Hope you enjoy!

I hope everyone enjoys this return to Eustrin! I think the one thing I want to mention is that in the middle of this update, there's an optional fight that's proved fairly challenging. Please feel free to leave it for later if you're not enjoying it.

As mentioned in the game, the next update will be the first open world segment in Chapter 5, and it will be a lot of work. It's my next priority, however, and should come out before I spend time on any of my other projects.
